Britney Spears - Piece of Me.

Mk, I'm gonna review Britney's new single now.

I love Britney [yes, Sin.] I really do. No matter what she does, what genre she is or what people say about her.

Oh! First, have a lookie at the awesome clip.

This is really just a "Screw You" to the paparazzi, isn't it? I love the lyrics in this. So I'm just gonna dissect them a little for you all here. .

"I'm Miss American Dream, since I was seventeen,
Don't matter if I step on the scene, or sneak away to the Philippines,
They still gon' put pictures of my derrière in the magazines,
You want a piece of me? You want a piece of me?

I'm Miss Bad Media Karma, another day, another drama,
Guess I can't see no harm in workin' and bein' a mama,
And with a kid on my arm, I'm still an exceptional earner,

It's great, really. It's all true, too. For so many people that's all she is. She's not seen as a human being but a buisness opportunity for paparazzi.

And I also say lay off her, she has a child.. But I think that there's more behind that line than simply "I have a kid". It's the stuff that entails.. Judging by her behaviour she's struggled with post-natal depression both times she's given birth. I think she's saying "I'm trying to support a child here when I don't even feel like going near it and I'm still managing to drag in cash."

I'm guessing that these are things she's heard people saying about her, or she presumes people have said about her.

I must say that the weight issue is something I believe every female celebrity struggles with. Drop a few, you're anorexic. Gain a few, you're pregnant.

Overall, I think this is a very good song, for what it is. Britney Spears is dance-strip-pop and she knows it. She isn't trying to be anything else, which is one of the things I love about her. No matter how people group her, she is a truly unique artist.

The beat is good and catchy. The lyrics are easy to sing along with and they show a bit of personality.
